Press Release: Kate Questions TfL Over Overground Delays

Kate Osamor MP has written to Transport for London (TfL) about delays and overcrowding

on London Overground services on the Enfield Town to Liverpool Street line. Transport for

London took over the line from Greater Anglia on the 1st of June and have pledged to

improve the service. However since then, there have been a number of delays and

cancellations and commuters have complained of greater overcrowding on shorter trains.

Kate Osamor MP has therefore written to TfL urging them to take action to ensure services

run on time and are not overcrowded.

Speaking on the subject Kate Osamor MP said:

“While I am pleased that TfL is now running the Enfield Town to Liverpool Street line,

I am very concerned by the delays and overcrowding which commuters are reporting.

The people of Edmonton deserve a rail service which is reliable, safe and comfortable.

It is unacceptable that this has often not been what people have experienced.

I have therefore written to TfL urging them to take urgent action to deal with these

problems.”
