Speaking against sexual exploitation in aid organisations

It is disheartening and shameful that I have to give a speech on exploitation in aid organisations, but this is not the moment to step back. The culture of silence perpetuates abuse; it is up to the aid agencies to reform their policies and their culture. Change will only be possible if these agencies challenge their procedures and entrenched practices which caused such atrocities. It is time to put people before reputation.
