In October 2018 I wrote to London TravelWatch as part of a consultation on the possible closure of some London Overground ticket offices.  Two of these stations, Silver Street and Bush Hill Park, are in my constituency.  I was concerned at the impact ticket office closures would be on my constituents.  You can read my submission below.

You can also read below the response from London TravelWatch, who passed on how Arriva Rail plan to manage the closure of any ticket offices.  Arriva’s plans, I believe, fall short of a good and complete service for passengers.  Staffed ticket offices provide a valuable human service that machines cannot replicate or fully replace.  I am disappointed at these plans and will continue to follow Arriva’s plans closely.
