I am absolutely devastated and in shock at the horrific murder of Jo Cox MP. Jo died doing her duty, representing the people she was elected to serve. Jo had a huge commitment to public service, before being elected into parliament, she worked for Oxfam and the anti-slavery charity, the Freedom Fund I send her family my deepest condolences. We have lost a much-loved colleague, a real gem and an excellent campaigner for social justice and peace. But they have lost a wife and a mother, and our hearts go out to them.
