It is sad to see some very talented people in the shadow cabinet stepping away from their position but I stand with Jeremy. Jeremy is a principled and honest man. He was elected as Leader of the Labour Party on a very large mandate less than a year ago. Rallies up and down the country this week have shown that Jeremy still has a large grassroots support base amongst the membership. At a time when the country is in political, economic and social chaos as a result of Brexit, Labour needs to be speaking up for those who have been most affected by the rise in hate crime, most affected by the economic downturn, most affected by austerity. I will not be walking away. I stand with Jeremy and the membership.
